If Russia conducted it's operation as the collective 'west' has it's various slaughters in Afghanistan, Iraq (x2), Syria, Lybia, etc., it would already be erecting S-500 complexes along the Poland/Romanian border. American and western viewers keep expecting to see this campaign develop as they're used to. Alternately, they, and this 'news' piece could just examine Putin's words and see things are developing as expected. Russia, as stated, doesn't want to destroy Ukraine, kill its people, ruin its infrastructure, occupy their territories. Ukraines and Russians are largely the same people. They are brothers.
None of this is to say things are going smoothly for the Russians. War becomes a mess as soon as it leaves the strategy board and enters real life. It can be safely said it's going far less smoothly for the Ukrainians, despite all the nonsense about their 'brave resistance'. The Eastern armies are largely surrounded. Command, control, communication channels are largely destroyed. Ukraine has virtually no air-defense at this time. Internal clashes of brigands, recently handed weapons by the gov't, rob, loot, pillage at will. The Gov't itself is beginning to break up, with some fleeing the country, others diving off the deep end in to drug or booze of choice, others openly in talks with the Russians against the will of Zelensky. Most of the fancy weapons being flown in to Ukraine will end up in the hands of the Russian gov't, as clear evidence already surfaces of this happening.
Viewers should understand something clearly: Russia isn't at war with Ukraine. NATO has been pushing war on Russia for a very long time, and it is that war that Russia is far more prepared for than this minor skirmish against largely disorganized, often hostile to each other forces within Ukraine.
But I don't expect FOX or CNN or any of the other propaganda outlets to tell the real story. Let the show go on in Clown World.
